College Football Week 4 Picks and Predictions
Week 4 - NCAA College Football Games of the Week Predictions
Saturday, September 22, 2012
(2) L-S-U Tigers (3-0) at Auburn Tigers (1-2)
Nothing can wake up a great team more than getting embarrassed on national television. Just look at last year’s National Title Game. LSU is now 3-0, and they have only given up a total of 31 points in those games. Auburn has lost to Clemson and Mississippi State, and they barely got by ULM. This is a mismatch.
Prediction: LSU 47, Auburn 14
(10) Clemson Tigers (3-0) at (4) Florida State Seminoles (3-0)
FSU has yet to give up a touchdown, and they have only allowed three points total over three games. Compare that to Clemson, where they have given up a total of 53 points over three games, and this seems like a mismatch. While FSU has been extremely impressive, they haven’t faced tough competition. This should be more of a test, but they will win in the end.
Prediction: FSU 31, Clemson 24
(22) Arizona Wildcats (3-0) at (3) Oregon Ducks (3-0)
Arizona is averaging 46 points per game, and Oregon is averaging 54 points per game. On defense, Arizona is only giving up 18 points per game, whereas Oregon is giving up 24.3 points per game. Neither team has played quality opponents yet. Therefore, this will be a tough match to gauge, but Oregon is simply too fast for Arizona.
Prediction: Oregon 56, Arizona 42
