(2) U-S-C Trojans (2-0) at (21) Stanford Cardinal (2-0) Preview and Prediction
Stanford Stadium - Stanford, California
Home Record: U-S-C 1-0; Stanford 2-0
Away Record: U-S-C 1-0; Stanford 0-0
All-Time Series: U-S-C (58-28-3)
Last Meeting: October 29, 2011 (Stanford, 56-48 3-OT at U-S-C)
Stanford has won the last three meetings and is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games versus USC.
The most obvious factor here is that Andrew Luck is no longer around for Stanford. You might not think that means much since they’re 2-0, but look at who they’ve played. Going up against USC is a whole different ball game.
Let’s also not forget that Matt Barkley is potentially the best QB in the country. He might have lost all those games to Andrew Luck, but was it his fault? He put up monster numbers against Stanford every time out. Josh Nunes won’t be able to match those kinds of numbers. This could be a blowout.
USC Trojans are -9 point favorite at Bovada.
Prediction: USC 56 Stanford 27
